Francis Boateng, born on December 16, 1962, in Ghana, is a renowned sculptor whose artistic journey began at the age of ten when his early works garnered significant attention. His talent was evident from a young age, with many of his pieces being purchased even as a child. This early success fueled his passion for art, leading him to pursue a formal education in the field.
Boateng studied art and tourism at the Opportunities Industrialisation Centre (OIC) in Accra, Ghana, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of artistic techniques. Following his studies, he embarked on an apprenticeship with the late sculptor Mr. George Anane in Berekum, further refining his craft and expanding his artistic horizons.
